Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport goods to residential and commercial locations.
- Unload merchandise, verify packages against delivery tickets, and obtain customer signatures.
- Maintain a clean and safe driving record by adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Interact professionally with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving any delivery issues efficiently.
- Utilize handheld technology to track routes, logs hours, and update delivery status in real-time.
- Manage time effectively to meet strict delivery windows and schedule constraints.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no DUI in the last 7 years).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging data and navigation.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule availability.
