Responsibilities
- Perform safe and efficient delivery of packages and goods to residential and commercial addresses in the Detroit metro area.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order and meets safety regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers, ensuring packages are delivered with care and handling any inquiries or complaints courteously.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and digital records using handheld devices or company apps.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment as needed.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized, adhering to company appearance standards.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or a standard state driver's license (Class C) depending on vehicle type.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience preferred, though new graduates with clean records are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of local streets, traffic patterns, and geography within the Detroit metropolitan area.
- Physically capable of lifting packages up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
