Responsibilities
- Safe Vehicle Operation: Operate delivery vehicles (vans/trucks) in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Customer Interaction: Deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses with a friendly demeanor, ensuring proper handling of goods and maintaining a professional appearance.
- Route Management: Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity while ensuring timely arrivals at each stop.
- Package Handling: Accurately inspect, load, unload, and secure packages to prevent damage during transit.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and mileage logs, using our digital handheld devices.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Possession of a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience in a logistics or delivery capacity preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact positively with a diverse range of customers.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using handheld scanning devices and GPS navigation systems.
