Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of freight using proper equipment and techniques
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Manage electronic logging systems and documentation for compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of California roadways and traffic regulations
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and freight handling
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Previous experience with refrigerated or dry van freight preferred
