Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated destinations in and around Raleigh, NC.
- Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to ensure mechanical safety and proper cargo loading.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours (ELD) and vehicle mileage.
- Unload cargo at delivery points, ensuring inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and traffic laws at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 3-5 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional road maps in North Carolina.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
