Responsibilities
- Operate commercial freight trucks safely and efficiently across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Load/unload freight with precision while maintaining proper documentation
- Adapt to changing delivery schedules and traffic conditions
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for optimal route planning
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device records
- Uphold strict safety protocols and defensive driving techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license (Class C minimum)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Willingness to complete paid CDL training program
- Basic math skills for load verification and documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
