Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely operate company trucks and trailers to deliver freight to designated locations within the region.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Ensure cargo is loaded securely and unloaded efficiently, following all safety protocols.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition and report any maintenance issues.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery receipts, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
- Adherence to Regulations: Comply with all local, state, and federal driving regulations and traffic laws.
- Customer Interaction: Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
- CDL Requirement: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License required (CDL training provided for qualified candidates).
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit for extended periods.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
