Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers for regional freight transport
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs/electronic records
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient load scheduling and delivery
- Ensure secure cargo handling and proper documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Texas roadways and regulations
- Flexibility for overnight regional routes (3-5 days)
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
- No preventable accidents in past 3 years
