Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for regional freight delivery
- Perform pre-trip inspections and adhere to FMCSA safety regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems
- Document delivery logs and maintain accurate freight records
- Collaborate with dispatch team for on-time deliveries
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling
- Represent Desert Express Logistics with professional conduct
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass DOT physical
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and HOS compliance
- Strong time management and route planning skills
- Ability to work independently in varying weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
