Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight between distribution centers, ports, and client locations across Massachusetts and New England
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely arrivals
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Complete electronic logs and delivery documentation with precision
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Boston metro area roadways and traffic patterns
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and route optimization abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
