Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between distribution centers and client sites
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely arrivals
- Verify cargo documentation and secure loads according to DOT regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route conditions and delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to all federal/state transportation laws
- Assist with loading/unloading operations when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of California traffic laws and route planning
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Must pass comprehensive background check
