Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel to resolve any delivery issues.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company driving policies.
- Keep the truck's interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements.
- A clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor duties.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
