Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, organs, and sensitive materials between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control for time-sensitive shipments
- Complete electronic delivery documentation and chain-of-custody forms
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols for patient data protection
- Coordinate with healthcare staff for timely pickups and deliveries
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with precision and care
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- OSHA bloodborne pathogen certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling protocols
