Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and critical supplies between healthcare facilities using temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and digital tracking systems for all shipments
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and biohazard safety standards at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service to medical staff during time-sensitive pickups/deliveries
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure operational readiness
- Optimize delivery routes to minimize transit time while maintaining safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical/transportation experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted and navigate healthcare facility environments
- Strong time management skills with ability to work independently on flexible schedules
- Proficient with GPS navigation and mobile communication devices
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling and biohazard procedures
- Reliable personal vehicle (or access to one) with proof of insurance
