Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods between Chicago and regional distribution centers
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining DOT compliance and safety protocols
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging (ELD) in real-time
- Perform pre-trip inspections and minor vehicle maintenance to ensure operational readiness
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and on-time deliveries
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and resolve delivery challenges
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong familiarity with Midwest geography and major highways
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to adjust schedule based on operational needs
