Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks for local and regional deliveries
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting
- Verify delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and DOT compliance records
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Represent company professionally with clients and partners
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial trucking experience
- Knowledge of Washington DC metropolitan area roadways
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Familiarity with hazmat regulations (preferred)
