Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-provided commercial trucks for regional freight transport
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization and timely deliveries
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate truck servicing
- Represent Swift Logistics with professionalism in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial freight driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Regional route familiarity preferred
