Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional freight delivery
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading and route optimization
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Deliver freight to commercial and industrial sites within scheduled timeframes
- Document delivery receipts and handle freight documentation accurately
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding shipment status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Milwaukee metro area and Wisconsin highways
- Basic knowledge of freight documentation and bill of lading procedures
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
