Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and maintain accurate maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines and optimize routes
- Represent Swift Logistics professionally in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical examination
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and freight handling procedures
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside inspections
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
