Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely to transport construction materials, debris, and bulk goods across San Jose and Bay Area sites
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, pre-trip checks, and basic maintenance troubleshooting
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with site supervisors and dispatch teams for efficient route planning and delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip reports, and documentation as required
- Assist with loading/unloading operations when necessary to ensure timely deliveries
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of dump truck operation experience in construction/transportation
- Ability to operate heavy machinery in tight urban and construction site environments
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and local San Jose routes
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills for team coordination
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- HAZMAT certification preferred but not required
