Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver time-sensitive packages across Virginia Beach and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery logs using GPS tracking and mobile apps
- Verify recipient signatures and handle special delivery instructions
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route optimization and real-time updates
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and local traffic laws
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Assist with sorting and organizing packages at the distribution center
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach roadways and navigation systems
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery apps and communication
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills
