Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages and documents to residential and commercial locations across Jacksonville
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries and maximize fuel efficiency
- Verify delivery accuracy through scanning, signature collection, and detailed documentation
- Load/unload packages with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain professional communication with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience or equivalent delivery background
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly and navigate various terrain conditions
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery tracking systems
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Excellent customer service demeanor and conflict resolution abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening (company-mandated)
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge preferred
