Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial locations throughout Oakland and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery records using our mobile tracking platform and electronic proof-of-delivery system
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency while adhering to strict time windows
- Provide exceptional customer service during package deliveries and handle inquiries professionally
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions and reroute when necessary
- Uphold company safety standards and comply with all traffic regulations
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record (no more than 2 points in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience (commercial or delivery preferred)
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs regularly
- Familiarity with Oakland/Bay Area geography and navigation apps
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Professional communication abilities and customer service mindset
- Smartphone proficiency for delivery tracking applications
- Pass background check and drug screening (company-provided)
