Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS and traffic monitoring systems
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Document delivery information and maintain vehicle maintenance records
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of NYC metro area roadways
- Hazmat endorsement preferred (training provided)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Must pass comprehensive background check
