Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes in Michigan and Ohio
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging devices
- Coordinate with dispatchers for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain one
- Clean driving record with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic understanding of GPS navigation and electronic logging systems
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent required
