Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight across Maryland and Virginia routes
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery interactions
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and scheduling
- Report maintenance issues promptly to prevent service disruptions
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) required
- No prior driving experience necessary - we provide full training
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
- Basic math skills for delivery documentation and inventory management
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
