Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across assigned routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Adhere to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Perform minor roadside repairs when necessary
- Complete required training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (Class A or B preferred, training available)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- No prior truck driving experience required
- Basic math and record-keeping skills
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to sit for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Must be 21+ years old with clean driving record
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overnight travel
