Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) across Texas and regional routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using advanced GPS and dispatch systems
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and compliance with all licensing requirements
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Texas roadways and regional logistics hubs
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs
- Strong time management and route planning skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
