Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including HOS and delivery receipts.
- Deliver goods to designated locations on schedule, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure cargo is secure, properly loaded, and protected from damage during transit.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs in the past 5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Willingness to undergo entry-level training if currently holding a CDL.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
