Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely using various equipment (forklifts, chains, straps).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs (ELD) and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Represent the company professionally while maintaining a clean and organized driving environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) required (we offer training for Class A).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record with no more than two preventable accidents in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to different routes and schedules.
