Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks to transport freight across the East Coast and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using proper equipment and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure a safe driving environment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Represent the company professionally at loading docks and customer sites.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience (Preferred) or a high school diploma/GED with a willingness to train.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation.
