Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver goods to customers in the Charlotte area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are secured properly for transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging devices (ELD) within DOT regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and handle customer inquiries professionally.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding driving hours and routes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Previous experience in local or regional driving preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DOT hours-of-service regulations.
- Reliable transportation to and from the terminal.
