Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient load management and delivery
- Provide excellent customer service during freight pickups/deliveries
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for route optimization
Qualifications
- No prior trucking experience required
- Valid Class A CDL permit or ability to obtain one
- Must pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overnight routes
