Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial freight vehicles to transport goods across New York State
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning
- Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions
- Assist with loading/unloading freight when necessary
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Driver's License (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no major violations within 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
