Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials (gravel, sand, asphalt) to job sites
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and NYC traffic laws
- Collaborate with site supervisors for efficient material unloading
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues
- Support team safety protocols and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean record (minimum 1-year driving experience)
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Willingness to obtain CDL Class A/B license (training provided)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to climb equipment and work in outdoor conditions
