Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages and goods to residential and commercial locations
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations
- Load/unload merchandise with care, verifying package integrity and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and address inquiries professionally
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain required signatures/receipts
- Report vehicle maintenance issues and safety concerns immediately
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions and special requests
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with minimum 1-year clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to lift packages up to 60 pounds regularly
- Basic smartphone proficiency for route navigation and communication
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Positive attitude with commitment to punctuality and reliability
- Willingness to pass background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of Virginia Beach area preferred or quick learning ability
