Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles in strict compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo is secure and handled with care using proper tie-down techniques.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and communicate any delays or route changes immediately to dispatch.
- Interact professionally with customers, receivers, and other third parties to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Participate in ongoing safety meetings and professional development training sessions.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and a comprehensive background check.
- U.S. citizenship or valid legal work authorization (no sponsorship available at this time).
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic math skills for calculating fuel consumption, weight, and distance.
- Willingness to undergo company-sponsored training programs for qualified entry-level candidates.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs during loading and unloading operations.
