Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods within Oakland and surrounding areas
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Manage delivery schedules and communicate effectively with dispatch team
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions
- Maintain clean driving record and report any incidents promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed
- Previous delivery or warehouse experience preferred but not required
