Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport freight throughout Miami-Dade County
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation while meeting delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo with proper material handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Class A CDL license (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and delivery documentation
- Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, and occasional weekends
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn industry best practices
