Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to delivery schedules and DOT hours-of-service rules
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and required documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch to resolve route challenges and communicate delivery status
- Operate advanced telematics systems for real-time tracking and performance optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic GPS navigation
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for overnight trips and occasional weekend shifts
