Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring secure placement and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and delays.
- Uphold a professional image and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check).
- Willingness to undergo a DOT physical examination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks associated with cargo handling.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules including nights and weekends if necessary.
