Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for regional routes within Nebraska and surrounding states
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and documentation
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records (ELD)
- Adapt to changing schedules and delivery requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Participate in ongoing safety training and performance reviews
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or commitment to obtain through our training program
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
- Basic math skills for load documentation and mileage tracking
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for on-time deliveries
- Willingness to work variable schedules including early mornings and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb into/out of trailer cabs
