Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and trailers in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Securely load and unload cargo, ensuring cargo integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and daily logbooks.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of yourself, your cargo, and the public.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety standards.
- Willingness to cross state lines and travel to destinations in Florida.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills for paperwork and navigation.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules and occasional overtime.
