Job Overview:
As a Driver for Premier Logistics, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across the United States. We value safety above all else and provide the tools and support necessary to succeed in this demanding yet rewarding role.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is correct and cargo is protected.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and logbooks at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold the company's high standards of customer service and professional conduct.
Qualifications
- CDL Class A License: Required (or willing to obtain through our paid training program).
- Driving Record: Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Physical Health: Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Age Requirement: At least 21 years of age.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
