Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A tractor-trailers to deliver freight to designated locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, speed limits, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized, ensuring a professional image.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic English literacy and the ability to read and understand maps and delivery orders.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to safety.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
