Responsibilities
- Securely transport medical specimens, organs, and temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals across DC metro area
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict chain-of-custody documentation
- Operate refrigerated transport units with real-time GPS monitoring
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and transplant centers for urgent pickups/deliveries
- Perform vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance checks
- Utilize specialized handling protocols for biohazardous materials
- Provide real-time delivery status updates via mobile app
Qualifications
- Valid Class D driver's license with clean driving record (5+ years)
- Medical transport or biohazard handling certification preferred
- Proficiency with temperature-controlled transport systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with proper technique
- Exceptional time management and route optimization skills
- Strong understanding of HIPAA and DOT regulations
