Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and transfer trucks to transport loose materials such as asphalt, gravel, dirt, and sand.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in top condition.
- Load and unload materials efficiently, following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle mileage in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site managers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure a zero-accident workplace.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating dump trucks in a professional setting.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) and be insurable.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong work ethic, time management skills, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
