Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, gravel, dirt, and debris.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Load and unload materials efficiently at job sites and transfer stations.
- Ensure the truck bed is cleaned and maintained in good working order.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience driving dump trucks or heavy equipment is highly preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy loads and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to and from work locations.
