Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks and hauling equipment on various job sites.
- Load and unload materials (asphalt, dirt, gravel, sand) efficiently and safely.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and crew members.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and well-maintained.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy haul.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and sit for extended periods during shifts.
- Must possess a clean driving record and good communication skills.
