Responsibilities
- Operate heavy dump trucks safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload materials (sand, gravel, demolition debris) using winches or forklifts as needed.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and project managers regarding job details and delays.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage or accidents during transport.
- Keep the truck and cab clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (Preferred) or willingness to obtain one through our training.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform basic vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for logging hours and reading route sheets.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
